Using martial arts to improve confidence, co-ordination and conditioning
for the 6 - 13 year olds.
We practice Ju Jitsu, a traditional Japanese
martial art where both Judo and Karate find their origins. We practice in a modern
manner with the emphasis on fun, fitness and self-defense!
We learn how to fall safely, how to avoid trouble in the playground
and how to develop more street sense.
We train to defend ourselves from punches, kicks, grabs and more! We
learn that if we have to hit back, how to do so effectively and in a controlled way.
Sessions
last an hour and are full of energy, fun and competition. We play high-tempo
games, practice breakfalls, escapes, strikes, throws and wrestling on the ground. It’s
hard work but rewarding.
